Loner

You know you're a loner when you're parents have better social lives than you. I have internet friends, but in real life I can barely say one word without stuttering. So today my dad and I decided to scare my mom. So when she came home I was hiding in the kitchen cupboards, while my dad was sitting on the couch. When asked where my brother and I were, my dad said that we were both out with friends. My moms reaction to that, she laughed and asked "What friends? She has friends? I didn't know that." That honestly killed me, but holding back the tears I leaped out screaming and scaring the living day lights out of my mom. In the end, we successfully scared my mom, and I left the room hurt.

I know I don't have a lot of friends and that I don't go out and socialize if it's not necessary, but it still stung hearing that from my mom. Later tonight, when my parents thought I was sleeping I heard them talking about how they worried I was a loner. So I've made a plan, and it should work fine. Once school starts again and the weather is okay, I"ll basically live in the library while lying saying I'm hanging out with friends. Genius isn't it? And maybe if I get sick of being indoors all the time I can go to this really nice park that's only a 10 minute walk from my house. There's a huge lake and benches around it so if it's warm I can sit and read in the sun. That would be really great, if I ever get over my fear of leaving my house, kind of pathetic, i know.

I wish I were outgoing and fun to be around like my brother. He's younger than me, but he's so perfect. He has girls chasing after him, he has tons of friends, and is really good at sports. He acts so tough outside with his friends, but at home he's such a baby it's adorable. Maybe I'll write about him next time.

XOXO J
